Chapter 5: RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT REGULATIONS • Effective Mar 5, 2025
A house having a lower level more than one half (½) its height above the grade of surrounding land may
have the lower level used for residential purposes. Such lower level shall provide two (2) means of
ingress and egress.
Every part of a required yard shall be open to the sky unobstructed except for the ordinary projections
of a bay window, sill, belt course, cornice, and ornamental feature projecting not to exceed twelve (12)
inches.
Terraces, uncovered unenclosed unscreened porches, decks, platforms, and ornamentals may project
into the yard providing no encroachment takes place on the setback requirements.
